Indigo Kumquat's bite-sized fruit combine striking, unexpected color with rich, fruity flavor. The tangerine orange skin of these 1 oz. plum-shaped fruit blush to deep purple-blue where exposed to the sun. Flesh is smooth, and flavor is sweet with light acidity and aromatic notes. Indigo Kumquat's manageable, semi-indeterminate vines bear fruit in trusses of 6-8, and the fruit resists cracking. This distinctive variety displays beautifully in single-variety or mixed pints, and it's perfect for sales to chefs and creative home cooks.
